ℹ Bred in Costa Rica, this exciting new series of Aquilegia are more compact than other modern hybrids available today growing to around 9-11” tall and blooming profusely on short stems with neat mounding foliage. Earlybird™ Purple Yellow Columbine features large, long-spurred, upward-facing, purple and yellow bi-colored blooms on compact, bushy plants. Flowers are large and bloom for 4 to 6 weeks in late spring to early summer! Columbines are easy to grow and thrive in moist, well-drained soils. Full sun is okay in northern gardens; afternoon shade is preferred in southern gardens.
