A large petaled Clematis with heavy masses of mildly fragrant, lantern-like, nodding, periwinkle-blue double flowers, with contrasting cream stamens which accompany the pretty foliage from late Spring to mid Summer! A sight to behold! It’s known to repeat bloom, and the large fluffy seed heads add later interest. It tolerates shade and blooms on old wood. A twiner, so weave onto a fence or arbor at the start and mulch to provide some shade for the roots.
