ℹ The Red Majestic Corkscrew Hazelnut is a phenomenal find with twisting, contorted branch habit and rich burgundy-red foliage. This large shrub is a new cultivar of Harry Lauders Walking Stick from Europe and is a stunning and strong accent in both summer and in winter when the bare branches are at peak visibility. Beautiful purple-pink coloured catkins hang below the twisted branches from late winter to early spring before the leaves emerge. The crinkled foliage emerges burgundy and matures to a rich, dark purple in the summer before turning a outstanding red in autumn. Self Pollinating and hazelnuts ripen by October. Cut branches are excellent in floral arrangements.Â
