ℹ Ambrosia or “Food of the Gods” is an attractive medium-sized apple, with a pink-tinged orange/red blush over a creamy yellow background. Excellent sweet honey flavour with a pleasantly crisp juicy  flesh that naturally doesn’t brown quickly after being sliced, making it perfect for snacks or salads as well as baking and cooking. Ripens in early to mid September. The Ambrosia apple originated in British Columbia only in the early 1990's and is now the third most produced apple in the province. The original tree was first cultivated by the Mennell family of Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, who discovered the seedling growing in their orchard.
