ℹ A cross between the Van and Stella cherry, the Lapin cherry produces some of the largest and juiciest of the sweet cherries. In early spring the tree is covered in beautiful white blossoms, then late June - early July abundant amounts of sweet large, dark red fruit with light red flesh is ready to harvest. The Lapin cherry is firm and so big that one cherry is a mouthful. The flavor is divine, incredibly juicy, and sweet. They are delicious right off the tree and wonderful for baking. Finally, in the fall, the Lapins Cherry tree develops beautiful orange, red, and yellow leaves. Self pollinating and are considered the number one pollinator for the Bing and is a great universal pollinator for other cherry trees.
