ℹOne of the very best of yellow plums, Shiro is superior in appearance and taste. Luminous yellow skin covers sweet, juicy flesh. The tree is very prolific, the fruit ripens early and is ridiculously juicy. You might want to get out a bib for this one! Heat-tolerant. Clingstone. Introduced to America in 1899. Ripens in late July. Self fertile.  Shiro plum trees produce heavier crops when cross-pollinated with another Japanese plum tree cultivar.
