ℹ Stunning gold and green marbled leaves looks like shamrocks at first glance and almost makes growing this plant worthy just by the foliage! Leprechaun Gold Columbine features showy nodding midnight plum-purple bell-shaped flowers with yellow eyes and pink spurs at the ends of the stems. Blooming for 4-6 weeks from late spring to early summer and are excellent for cutting. Its attractive ferny compound leaves remain forest green in color with showy gold variegation throughout the season which contrasts beautifully with the deep purple flowers. Columbines are easy to grow and thrive in moist, well-drained soils. Full sun is okay in northern gardens; afternoon shade is preferred in southern gardens.
