ℹ Wanting to grow Asparagus but don't want to struggle with bareroots or seeds for 3 years before being able to enjoy a harvest? Look no further, we have established and rooted crowns in 1 gallon pots that you can enjoy harvesting the next season after planting! One of the New Jersey asparagus hybrids, Jersey Knight is extremely vigorous, has large, succulent spears, and quickly attracts a loyal following. The flavor is excellent, and the plant offers cold hardiness and is resistant to rust, crown rot and fusarium. It also performs equally well in heavy, clay-like soils. Jersey Knight is a male cultivar which is considered more desirable by growers as plant yields are higher as no energy is spent on flower production. This perennial produces early, long, straight, dark-green spears with tight purpling tips that are noted for their uniform size! Once established your asparagus will continue to produce year after year.
