ℹ ‘Queen of Hearts’ was developed from the 1998 hybridization of Oakleaf cultivars ‘Snow Queen’ and ‘Pee Wee’. In early Summer, ‘Queen of Hearts’ produces an over-abundance of large, 9″, regal ivory blooms which mature to rosy pink. Blooms sit atop deep green unique oak-like foliage on a rounded, compact form which turns a stunning mahogany red in autumn. This selection differs from other Oakleaf Hydrangeas due to its huge blooms that won't droop, that keep their color longer while flowering and that bloom a little later than other cultivars. Guaranteed to be easy to grow and stunningly gorgeous. Flowers appear approximately 7 to 10 days later than standard Oakleaf varieties and slowly age to a deep pink. Blooms remain attractive after other varieties have faded. An improved version of a rare garden gem, 'Queen Of Hearts' Oakleaf Hydrangea is a must have for your landscape!
