ℹ Pizzicato Poppy produces an absolutely superb semi-dwarf mix of vibrant and jaw dropping red, scarlet, orange, salmon, mauve, rose, pink, and white blooms! The massive Teacup shaped flowers are 6-8 inches in diameter, a true stunner when mass planted!!! Expect up to twenty flowers per plant once established in the landscape. The flowers appear on very sturdy stems that hold up well to wind and rain. This Oriental poppy blooms on stems covered with its unique fern like foliage in June and July, after spring bulbs have faded, but before the arrival of summer flowers. After flowering, the foliage fades away entirely, returning with autumn rains. When you want to introduce excitement into the June border, consider Oriental Poppies, for their ruffled and shimmering petals pack more pigment than you can imagine.
