The tree is very prolific, the fruit ripens early and is ridiculously juicy. You might want to get out a bib for this one! Heat-tolerant. Clingstone. Introduced to America in 1899. Ripens in late July. Self fertile. Shiro plum trees produce heavier crops when cross-pollinated with another Japanese plum tree cultivar.
