ℹ Not all rhododendrons are created equal. The Nova Zembla Rhododendron is a queen in the spring garden with her magnificent dark red trumpet shaped flowers with darker spotting during late May to early June. Vigorous upright hardy shrub with course dark green foliage, keeping it's leaves through out the winter. Looks just as good in the sun and heat as it does in the cool shade. Prefers peaty moist well drained soil. Prune immediately after blooms are spent to control size and shape. Not all rhododendrons are created equal.
